Today Higginbotham operates offices throughout Texas, but it had just one until 1998 when Denton Insurance Center merged with the firm. The union expanded Higginbotham’s footprint beyond Fort Worth for the first time, giving it a second office.
The firm was begun by a former Allstate agent in partnership with then Denton Mayor Bill Neu. When Neu was bought out in 1974, Denton Insurance Center was born.
After two moves, in 2003 the firm made its home on Country Club Road, an area rich with commercial and residential developments.
The Denton office initially provided business and personal insurance services, but Higginbotham brought its Single Source service model to the firm and rounded-out its portfolio. Now our Denton office has all the insurance, employee benefit and risk management service capabilities that Higginbotham has to offer.
